Winter at the Grand Hotel des Rasses
The Grand Hôtel des Rasses is ideally located between Sainte-Croix and the village of Bullet at the heart of the Balcon du Jura Vaudois region at an altitude of 1'200m, and has everything to satisfy families, sports and nature lovers.
The development of tourism in the area began in the village of Rasses, the main point of departure for excursions by mountain bike, on foot, with snow shoes, and cross-country or alpine skiing.
The Sainte-Croix/Les Rasses region is the home of the music box as well as high-tech industry; the love of quality and a job well done, combined with an acute understanding, have forged the reputation of the area and the products made here.
During the winter season, the Sainte-Croix/Les Rasses region is equipped with eight ski lifts, one of them for beginners, at altitudes between 1150 and 1580 metres. Since 2008, snow cannons have guaranteed favourable snow conditions throughout the winter.
The Balcon du Jura offers more than 100 km of signposted tracks for cross-country skiers and is one of Central Europe's most sought-after skiing regions.
Ski passes for the Sainte-Croix/Les Rasses ski resort can be ordered directly at the hotel reception.
The hotel also offers a ski hire service (alpine and cross-country skis, snowboards, snowshoes…) directly on the premises.
Smaller winter sports articles such as sunglasses, lip balms and gloves can be bought at the reception desk.
Other winter activities are also on offer, such as:
- winter nordic walking
Two sports shops are located near our hotel.
